Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

calling all CALI fixed riders!! represent!!!!

hey there is an awesome century and metric century taking place in the santa cruz mountains on august 6th, I want to get a crew (or a buddy!!) to ride it with me fixed... this is a grueling mountain century, so leave your noodle legs and home and bring the high quality stuff... there will be powerful spandex warriors from across the nation... about 500 riders are expected to show up... lets try and beat a couple of them!! registration is gonna fill up soon...

sorry... not up to that yet--however... my friend joshua rides his fixed 20 mi (each way) to work every day... and just a few weekends ago he rode about 30 mi out to a spot where some peeps were doing a century and then rode home afterwards. he's hardcore. i will pass the word along. he rides a converted orange, white, and blue cilo... so if ya see him out there, give a shout-out for amelia.
