Yellow Rims?

Hey everyone, first post here.

I am in the process of building up my Peugeot roadster (not sure what year it is but its Carbolite 103 frame...i could include a pic if someone could tell me what year they think it is cause i've looked all over to no avail) and converting it over to fixed. I've been on a mad wheel search for a while now, but finally found a deal locally. However, I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any 700 wheels out there with yellow rims? I found 1 set online of 27" yellow rims, but i'd rather not go with the 27". Mainly only looking for a rear, yellow rim wheel for my fixed conversion.

any sightings or ideas?

thanks

Bikes: 01 bianchi pista, custom. 04 felt f-15, full record.

velocity makes a yellow deep v. check with your LBS. I doubt you'll be able to find anything made stock with a yellow rim

If I'm not mistaken, that rim is powder coated... and I don't know how well that would hold up long-term.

1337 Ebay h4x!

so i definitely didn't see those when I scanned through ebay...but wow. nice find. i'm gonna have to work out something with the local guy now haha.

how much do you think it would normally cost to build up a wheel from that rim (only need one, mind you) with a standard hub (say, suzue)? The LBS quoted me right at $200 (being parts and labor for a Velocity Razor rim and suzue hub) but it was black

50 for the hub, prolly 65 for the rim, 30 for the build, and prolly another 30 in spokes

Pick those up locally? What'd you pay? I may be forced to go with the deep-Vs...

I got them fully set up with cog, lockring, rimstrips, kevlar tires & tubes for $340.00. just the wheels alone will run you 225.00
I got them at Spokes and strings (nyc bikes) in williamsburg. I know a few people say things about that place but I havnt had a problem yet with them.

great rims. I had a yellow deep v on the front of my ride until yesterday. .5 mile into my commute, I had a little run in that destroyed it... impact right at the seam which split but held. As a testament to the ruggedness of the deep V, I banged it back into shape, somehow got the tire to seat and rode 25 miles while being hypnotized by its oscillations.
