Just pick your favorite food, then paint your bike to match!
For me, it was easy, ORANGE CREAMSICLE!

Last time I had to order bushmills it was on the house because the bartender felt bad that I had to drink it instead of Jameson. Then she went to another bar and picked up two bottles of some REAL whiskey and did a shot with me...
And, yeah, the capitalization is intentional ;D

Hey man, doggin' a man's drink is like raggin' on their tattoos! Just not cool.
Besides. Jameson is what they put in baby's bottles, everyone knows you need Johnny Walker Black Label to drink a real whiskey.
peace,
sam

Oh the Johnny is good stuff I went through a phase of drinking red listening to elliot smith crying my self to sleep everynight when my bike had a flat.

Whisky is like the bike culture. Fragmented, opinionated, and entirely subjective:
Ahem, that said. Ride what you love, drink what does you in.
Scotch: Glenmorangie
Irish: Jameson
Boubon (my personal fav): Knob Creek, or Basil Hayden.
Bike colors? someone else said it best.
Classic old frames? Go themestyle. Keep the original color unless the paint is trashed. Then go muted. Lugs should be a nice complementary color . I'd go colorwheel for this one. Brooks saddle, leather, or cork wraps. threaded, quills, track drops.
Modern? Open game. matte black, brown, bright pink, CalTrans blaze orange, chrome, metallic, camo. whatever. even go muted for the neo-modern response.
Otherwise I think that it diminishes all of us if you paint Fix with only one color in mind. Ideally any bike is an expression of yourself, but for some reason, especially so with fixies.

i was going to say 'chrome' a long time ago, but i was also going to say 'something personal, like the color of your dryer lint', seriously, do what you want...my dryer lint would be blue-grey, but that's just my dryer lint...

My frame is bronze, and the forks chrome. It's the shiz niz. It's a late 80's frame, but it looks SO 70's! I'm gonna give it white cork bar tape on bullhorns (which I might chop and flop out of an old pair of drops, cos I've no money left), and probably a brooks. Which I guess will need to be black. Probably.
Anyway, bronze and chrome, baby.

Powder coated battleship gray man. Stealth is key. However, gotta balance the stealh with a little well placed blaze orange (rims, tape, top tube cover)

Id say a glow in the dark powder coat job.

I was going to do a glow in the dark yellow for my bike but it would have been in the shop another month or two. Im sure I will do it with one of my next projects.

i'm gonna have to say that fixed (for me) is an all black frame (original peugeot paint for now...until i get brave enough to strip it down and put down $70 for a paint gun i've wanted forever)...yellow cork...black seat...and either a yellow striped rear tire or a yellow rear rim (black spokes of course, because matching spokes would just look terrible)
that's just my opinion.
ps. the glow in the dark powdercoating makes me drool...mmm

That's called "common cause", the fact that "winners" (great athletes) like the color red. Not the fact that red makes them winners.
