I just want to say that it's threads like this that keep me lurking on the forums throughout the day (that, and mechanical questions I have). I love how an innocent topic can degenerate into complete and udder(ly smooth) madness within the span of like 10 posts. Classic entropy. Love it.

That said, I believe the speed record bicycle without any sort of drafting is by Sam Whittingham (Canada) at 78 mph. The bike was a custom recumbent (of course) with an aero shell, named the Diablo II.

Those forte/naked bikes are sweet as hell. The sprint bars on the other hand...

What if I said that Rush Limbaugh is nasty, does that make me anti-white-people? How about if I said that Jose Conseco is nasty, am I now anti-hispanic? I'm so sick of how casually people throw around the "anti-semite" accusation.

I think if you look at the overall statistics, big buisness spreads it's money pretty evenly. As long as there is political favors to be bought, they don't care about the affiliation.

Discovery Channel did something about the bicycle and all of its variants a few years back. Taped the hour show just can't find the tape now. Had the salt flat speed record stuff on it too.

It was kind of a joke. If you'd read the thread where (member I can't recall) played the anti-semite card after somebody used the word "meshuggah", you'd get me reference
