Sorry if this was covered somewhere but I couldn't find it. I know about alleycats, but usually see them in reference to bike messengers. are they usually open to non-messengers? just curious because i always liked racing but i only really know about road bike or bmx racing. i'm not too familiar with the fixed scene, just wondering what kinds of races there are for non-messenger non-track fixed riders. thanks in advance for any insight.

alleycats are open to us non messengers...go for it!

aditionally, at least here in nyc, we do a lot of fixed only "pick up" races...one in prospect park on thursdsay nights, one in central park at 10pm on monday nights
