Broken saddle rail - anyone??

so i bought one of those Selle Italia Storika saddles... (the ones with the leather areas and copper rivets..) After about a month of riding, the rail underneath just cracked in half. anyone ever have this problem?? i could see if the saddle was some low end cheap-o seat or something but it was almost 100 dollars... anyone know of a way to get them to replace it? i've tried writing them but no response.

fack!

Bikes: IRO Angus; Casati Gold Line; Redline 925; '72 Schwinn Olympic Paramount

Some light saddles like these have a rider weight limit, a lot of times cutting off at 180...

Who did you get in touch with? YOu need to get in touch with their US distributor:

ProNet, Inc., Tel: 360-782-2463, Email: pronetinc1@qwest.net

I had a SLR saddle crack on me (not the rail) and they were super quick to replace the saddle - I sent it off on a Tuesday and got it back Friday. Their turnaround is 24 hours. Supergood customer service.

Let them know your problem.

That's awesome! I have a broken Prolink w/ Ti rails that broke on me RIGHT AFTER I won an alleycat. Just sat up, and *snap* - both rails broke. Thanks!

Ti isn't unbreakable, it's just got a high strength to weight ratio, meaning it's pretty strong given how light it is. It still breaks real good. Real good.
