Computers?
I'm thinking about getting a cheap ($29) wireless cyclocomputer for measuring my commutes, etc... my desired feature is easy on-off mountability, because I won't be using it every day-- anybody have experience with this sort of thing?
Thanks

I have one on my road bike for the same reason, to measure commute distances. I think it might look a little funny on a track bike, but it is your bike, so go nuts.

i use this:
https://www.sueandpaul.com/gmapPedometer/
(ps can anyone tell me how to configure this thing so it doesn't start in hoboken, and yes i've hit the link that says click if you don't live in hoboken, but it just takes me to a map of the entire us)

gmap pedometer is nice, but a computer will tell you so much more. If
Stumprofig only cares about distance, then gmap pedometer will work.
If you don't live in Hoboken, zoom in to your city from the US map, then start recording and double-clicking.

After you zoom in, click for a URL. See, here it starts in Copley Square. https://tinyurl.com/cqsrd
