Ideas...?

I'd like to add some "bling" to the bike...wheels, maybe new stem, bars, etc..
Will Nitto bars work? (I'm not crazy about the current ones)

Any ideas??? All are welcome.

I still can't believe the deal you got on that bike.
if it were mine, i'd change the seat - SLR or something slim, post - something silver/no logo and some nitto bars should work fine.
i'd also get rid of the logos.

what kind of riding do you do?

baxtefer 09-13-05 05:17 PM

for comfort: saddle + bars
for aethetics: stem + seatpost (silver, seconded)
for performace/reliability: wheels (i don't have too much faith in the Jalco/Sovos combo)

Yeah, new bars and wheels (if you've got the cash).

Deep Vs? Nitto Bars, stem? I'm not sure what kind of an angle I can handle?
I think I'll start with wheels & bars.
Who has the best deals?

Jayrooney - yeah, great deal! leaving me with $ for bling!
pwarre - mostly cityriding, errands, some training in the park -hopefully Velo soon.

chrome nitto deep drops, red tires

I'd look into getting that seat tube fixed. It looks bent.

continue with the blue, blue phil's laced to blue deep v's, blue tires, blue seat, blue tape. the pedals are a good start.

I'd start with a brake lever, cable, and housing.

the brake isn't there for stopping, it's there to prevent too much negavtive pressure at the fork crown, which could lead to the bike flipping backwards
