Free Messenger DVD

Hi, Echelon! Seriously though, it's a freely available DVD. I'm sure Puma or Adidas or whoever it was that put this together doesn't care about their underground ad piece getting traded around by bike geeks. Last time I checked the kids were calling it "viral marketing."

Wrong.
Even though the DVD is free, you do not have the right to copy it...or the Copyright, nor have you been licenced to copy it.
As far as the law is concerned, this is just as illegal as copying a DVD that costs $25.

True.
But, the penalty for not having those things is a $10 fine or 2 hrs community service (in Baltimore). The penalty for copyright infringement holds "minimum statutory damages from $500 to $750, increase the maximum from $20,000 to $30,000, and increase the maximum for willful infringement from $100,000 to $150,000."
Not worth it if you ask me. But that's just me.

and technically i shouldn't have murdered all of those boy scouts, but they just TASTE SO DAMN GOOD!!!!!!!
…but anyway it may be moot. i can't find the damn dvd anywhere. i'm gonna do a proper search tonight, but it's not in any of the places where dvd's get stored in my apartment.i'll look in all the unconventional plaes tonight. maybe i tossed it into the freezer or something (behind the heat-n-serve boy-scout tacos)
