Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

nice to see so many "voices" out there. I believe if we ever needed to put an army together, we could load up buses of drunk raiders fans! I do believe we, as 2d capture anthropologists, we are collectively capable of changing the world. power to the people.

The last one is Pshoped. They aren't KKK though, they are Catholic Brotherhoods in Southern Spain. They predate the KKK by a few hundred years, the outfits where used for protection during the times of plague.

count me in on a print exchange as well, i've enjoyed looking at people's work on linked sites...thanks! i was thinking of making a similar post, but for whatever reason hadn't done so...

may i up the ante??

i own a brick and mortar art gallery, and although shows are booked through mid spring, perhaps we could have a juried group show from BF contributors in late spring/early summer. its a small, contemporary gallery in new mexico called bivouac artspace. if you click here you can see a temporary home page while i'm workin' out the bugs for a proper site. more info? interested? PM me or attach some image files to an e-mail at the address noted at the gallery splash page.

if you come with work, we will indeed roll!!!!

oh yeah, TimeZer0 - you should check out David Levinthal's work if you are unfamiliar with it...
both using toys as well as polaroid (although a 20x24 not a SX-70)

and FugaziDave you might check out Nathan Lyons, especially "Riding First Class on the Titanic", seems you would appreciate his sensibility, humor, and the tonal range of his prints...

I'm an amateur photog also.. I've had a couple photos published, but I certainly don't make a living from it. And I've yet to be part of a show of any sort.

Any more flickrites on here? I just added two of you to my contacts..

Here's my page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wes/

Not much in the last few months except photos from my time in Europe this Spring/Summer. I've been shooting my Holga lately but haven't gotten any of the film processed yet.

I point lights at things for money. I retired my aesthetic sense a few years ago, when I realized I wasn't using it.

love absenter's site, just checked it out again

the tragically beautiful photo is my favorite

I don't even know the right terminology to describe his aesthetic, but it's perfect

great with colors as well

(naz, please consider cinematography someday--seriously)
