I havn't made the full conversion... yet, my LeTour is derailer less, but it still has the gears (ballast?) and it's not up for a long ride.

i say anything that dosen't suck gasoline is permitable for this little pub crawl.

Joe- Critical Mass, velodrome, Monday night drinking? I'm tired just thinking about it.

I hate to say it, but I don't think I'll make this one...too much fun lately, not enough grocery shopping/laundry getting done. I think these Wicker Park rides are destined to devolve (progress?) into way better of a time than will allow me to get to work anywhere close to on time (thanks for rubbing it in, freelancers/working-from-home types).

I hope you guys have so much fun that you do it again on, say, Thursday...

Yeah I don't care if you're riding one of those kids chopper style bikes. Come ride!

Craigs list is pretty general, here a cyclist might be able to help a fellow enthusiest.

hey, 48x16 is the one bringing the labatts.. i'm just in it for excersize! ;)

48x16 10-03-05 11:36 AM

Should I not bring the brews? If no one is gonna drink them then I'd rather not haul around the weight!

schloe mo 10-03-05 12:11 PM

i can live without them. it is monday after all. chicagodream's got me feeling all responsible.

we could stop at the handlebar or something at the end, as an option.

Super Rookie 10-03-05 12:17 PM

i was a messenger for two years back in minneapolis.

it sucks here in chicago and i want to have fun riding my bike. the worst thing about the messenger industry is that you get paid and treated like ****. then you kind of get burnt out. i never thought it would happen to me, but when i started doing lots of races and get my ass kicked consistently because i dont train(because i ride to much at work) i new it was time to give it up...so i think i am going to be a waiter.

boing!

48x16 10-03-05 12:19 PM

So, are you saying you're going to ride with us tonight because it'll be for fun?

courtneyp 10-03-05 12:46 PM

I am not going to come. I keep on letting you down lately, Sean. No brunch! No bike rides! Maybe later in the week?

sorry I missed it, I had to work.

48x16 10-04-05 12:05 AM

You should be sorry you missed it! We all rode North to the hopleaf and then drunkenly challenged each other to races all the way down the lakeshore bike path.

courtneyp 10-04-05 07:47 AM

Sounds fun! However, my bed was totally calling my name...

I think I am going to ride bikes to the Abbey Pub on Thursday night to go see Ida...So far, it is me and Nikki, but anyone is welcomed to join!

48x16 10-04-05 08:12 AM

Ida = money
Abbey Pub = money
seanie = no money

courtneyp 10-04-05 09:21 AM

Haha! I love how you just referred to yourself as "Seanie"!

schloe mo 10-04-05 10:47 AM

great ride last nite... that is after we uh, lightened the load after the hopleaf. thanks sean for being the ringleader.

48x16 10-04-05 10:59 AM

Yeah I had a ton of fun. We should do it again next week.
