Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Whoever DID start making such a hub would make money--there is sizable demand, and design differences between planetary fixed hubs and planetary free hubs are small enough so that re-tooling for mass production could be profitable. Why doesn't somebody do it? Rohloff?

- I think you overestimate demand
- If Rohloff made them they would cost a bajillion dollars.

i'd be willing to pay a substantial amount of money for something of the sort. now if we could only get 12,000 more people to back that statement...

an online petition, maybe?
