Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

something like the FGG

anyone know of any sites like the FGG, but for road bikes or mtbs or bmx? i wouldn't be surprised if not since so many of those bikes are off the shelf and kind of boring, but i was just curious...seems like a good way to waste time and see how other people's bikes look...

Bikes: Lots. Mostly steel. Mostly heavy. Mostly geared, and very low, at that.

well, there's blinglespeed.com, but they don't do geared bikes either. Makes sense to me though. Most of my bikes are NOT stock in ANY way shape or form, so I'd be into that sort of thing. I doubt there'd be much of a market for it though. The fixie thing has it's own category of...... not sure what the word is, but I think FGG works 'cuz of what fixies are. Maybe it'd work for other types too.

this site has mostly singlespeed downhill/DJ/urban assault bikes, but it is eye candy for any bicycle enthusiast. every here and there you'll find a converted bmx cruiser or mtb frame, and many of these rides use bmx parts too, which is always cool.

Bikes: Surly CrossCheck

That site shouldn't be calling that bike the worlds lightest bike. I saw a sub 8lb road bike somewhere on the web.

there's also pinkbike.com, which has a nice mix of riding and hardware photos ... although there's also lots of lame, useless stuff.
