Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

SS ride kicked ass last night

Took the SS out on the trail after work last night for the first time in a while. Changed the gearing to match late season legs (tired but stronger than in April) and gave it a shot over some occasionally twisty and occasionally switchbacked singletrack, with a lot of hardpacked fast stuff. What a blast. I've been on the geared duallie on this same trail a few times and had forgotten how much of a point and shoot bike my old S-Works (steel, thankyouverymuch) frame is.

That's all, nothing to bash or be cynical about. Just a helluva lot of fun on two wheels.
