Barring disaster I'll be there, I missed Kyotoloco, hell I haven't been anywhre this year but NYC just down the road. With the NACCC being so close next year by I got no excuse to miss CMWC in Oz. Hell i'm mor concerned with saving up for a decent powerbook than the plane tickets, I can read and sleep with the best of them but give me a video game I like and those 24hours of transit will disappear like they weren't there.

Get on board!
Melbourne is hosting a pre-event for the Worlds, and both Melbourne and Sydney have regular rides/alleycats/BBQs happening.
YES, its a long way to fly, but last time i checked, its the same distance in both directions, and cheaper to fly TO than from.
I can tell you it won't be as big as previous CMWC's, but I can promise it will be unique in a way that can only be described as 'Australian'.
For those who've needed an excuse to explore Australia, why not come a week either side and travel. We have a weaker currency against the UK/US, basically most, so exploit it!
For the trackheads, Melbourne and Sydney also have numerous indoor and outdoor velodromes, all within riding distance of the city.
Above all, we have amazing summer weather. What else do you need for a good party?!
See you there.
