The entire set is here: http://flickr.com/photos/absenter/sets/1080720/ In its original period-correct mode: http://static.flickr.com/26/49780899_2676e3ca2d_o.jpg Some street tweakage: http://static.flickr.com/24/50091463_b8bed5b7b5_o.jpg More tweakage: http://static.flickr.com/33/54680247_4d45e4a9aa_o.jpg Big ups to TNCLR for hooking me up with the seatpost a while ago. The bike is undergoing more tweakage - I just rebuild one of the sets of Campy Record Pista wheels it came with - laced the hubs (polished them too) to FIR Net97 rims. But I'm switching that out to some super low-profile Campy Strada rims or polished FIR EA10 rims. Gotta keep it all Italian (okay, maybe the eggbeaters aren't...) TNCLR - always good to see those beautiful steeds. Speaking of which, what rims on the DeRosa? Dude, Fir is so French. |
no theyre not.

If I needed one good reason to leave NYC and go back to Paris-France, this bike would be reason #1.
Olmo 1978, waiting for me... Sorry, I don't have many pictures. Edit : Sorry, due to mistakes I made with my pictures, links were modified. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/106/3...1707a471_b.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/185/3...3fbe6f10_b.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/140/3...ccc50f7b_b.jpg |

I read somewhere that Bianchi and Olmo are the two oldest italian builders, both are still in activity, only one became famous ;-). 1978 is written on mine so it was easy. |

Is it an optical illusion or is that steering angle ridiculously steep? |
I think it's just a very large frame--as the ST gets longer, the HT tends to get steeper.

I had an olmo which I never saw (long story) and is now happily residing in London. Paris looks nice. Great bike. Ride safe. |
That picture of whiney riding reminds me of myself, riding in Montparnasse. I hope to get back soon and check the scene at Les Halles.

Whiney that Olmo is ridiculously nice! Nice classy/classic build. The guy in the car appears to agree! What rims are those (can't quite make out the label)?

My foot size is 14-15 (48-49) and finding shoes is a big problem (if your feet are smaller, you cannot imagine). These vans are available in large sizes, cheap, OK on bikes, and fancy (I had nearly the same 15 years ago). Show me another brand/model and you become my best friend. |
