Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

^^^ I must have been looking at the non-Pro, oops. Well it would obviously be crazy to get these, and yet for some reason I am considering them. Thanks a lot baxtefer

25.8mm is the in-between standard. You can cram it in your 25.4 clamp (snicker) or 26.0 without worries.

hey thanks again to everybody who suggested bars... I ended up getting the nitto 177s (from Rivendell).

they look and feel pretty good, the drops are nice and shallow and the "corners" (what do you call the area between the tops and the hoods?) have a gentler, rounder curve than many bars. If anyone cares I can post back after riding them for a while... I'm optimistic.
