Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The meat of BFFGMG

People! Fight the urge to sleep in on Saturday and get to Manny's!

This is pretty much what I always get, and I think I'm going to have a hard time not ordering it tomorrow, despite it being "breakfast" and having a "race" in the afternoon. Some speculate that smoked, pickled meats were an essential component of Merckx's Belgian Mix.

The corned beef hash is highly regarded as well, as are the potato pancakes, kugel, noodle pudding, etc.

All standard North American breakfast foods are available, as well.

Manny's is a classic deli-style cafeteria: you come in, grab a tray, run down the line and collect whatever you want, and get a receipt from the cashier. You don't give her any money; you pay on the way out the door (don't lose the receipt). If two bowls of herring snacks weren't enough, go back, grab another, and turn in your receipt for a new one with the new total. Oh, and cash only.

Ira, I told you I don't know why it was so green that one time.

I'll get it checked out next week - promise.

seriously you out-of-towners won't be disappointed. I might go just to see all the Aldermen and $hit wondering where your derailleurs went.

I just want to holler at everyone who made it to Manny's this morning...and seriously, all y'all who didn't are way worse off for it. F*ck. That ***** was so good.
