Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Bikes: Too Many

When I ordered my fork from BikeWorks NYC they sent me a post card of "Pat's Colnago". This now graces my office at work.

She is a great lady, a terrific painter and a dedicated cyclist. I encourage all of you to check out her paintings!

if that's her new card with the red-white and blue bike, i just put it up on my cubicle wall today! i love it. In May for Bike Month you can sign up for a 1 day workshop on how to draw bikes. If you join her mailing list you'll get announcements about everything she's going.

funny — last night i was crossing lafayette by houston, saw a postcard picture of a bike on the street, picked it up, it was a flyer for her. had a road bike on one side and a nice track bike on the other (the paramount with the adjustable stem). was going to check that site out today.

That's why she asked Ceya if she could paint it...

I'm the lucky one to live with Taliah,
and sometimes it feels like he.. heaven.

As witness to the beautiful bevy of bikes she's posed live,
it's always nice to talk bottom bracket height with one you love.
It's not easy what she does, making a career of her passion.

Dave? If so, I was in your shop today. Bought some Velox cloth tape. You might know me from there or from sitting on your wheel when my out of shape ass gets too winded to stay with the pack!

I do, this was when i first got the bike and rode "clipless" in sneakers.

The bike has C - Record platform pedals. They go with the C - record group .

I knew there was a reason to keep them all of these years.

good observation.

S/F,
Ceya!

Thanks Matthew, that's me. I hope that new cloth tape works out. It's a great motivational tool.

The reason you were sitting on my wheel is because sitting on my ass on the tandem was the powerhouse stoker behind this thread, Taliah Lempert.

Absolutely! A thanks to you both for helping me out.
I wrapped the ends of the moustache bars on that Raleigh with the Velox and finished the job with some hemp twine (got it at a craft shop in a "hippy jewelry kit"). I amber shellaced it a couple of times and the match with those Pariba tires is sweeeet! Feels very classy.
I'll see you guys tomorrow night.
