Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

thanks again to the DCC and naz for putting it all to gether and making it happen.
it was great to meet so many guys who waste all my time at work.
riding after brunch at mannys was super fun, thanks to the local guys who showed us around and made sure we didnt get too lost (except for the last part of the alleycat ) and thanks to all the awsome sponsers who put up some sweet prizes and awsome free food and drink.

BTW; keiker barely counts as an out of towner considering he has only been an ex local for around a year.
i am hoping for a warmer climate next time(SF???) so i can compete in the trackstand comp. (i was so cold i could barely trackstand with both hands so when it got to no hands i was out waaay to soon)

Didn't Msngr roll a 3 at Val's checkpoint?

All ****-talking aside, Chicago guys, you rock!

And yeah, next year will be SF, and we'll do it when the weather is awesome, and someone other than me will win the trackstand comp.

Hands down the DCC put on a fabtaboulus time. Incredible hospitality. My door is open to anyone of the crew if/when you're out in SoCal. Naz, Salome, Steaktaco, 0.00, etc.... hats off. Oh and a face punch to [165]

Locust, I made a couple routing erros on the ride, but having lived over a year ago did help. But the Chicago grid is so helpful in getting around.

I posted up a weekend ride report at www.myspace.com/mkiecker if you are so inclined.

Thanks again Chicago. I miss you and my old city already.

good to see again Jason! Your bike is still my favorite, when is the Milwaukee Santa Ride this year? I am going to see what I can do. I still think we should try for the Hoan Bridge again!

It was interesting to meet the online community. The DCC handed out these instead of spokecards so we were all able to communicate properly in person. Nice touch!

I have to say that this was probably one of the most amazing weekends I have ever had! DCC pulled this off like they do it for a living. I was addmittedly nervous about this from the get go; I get a little sketched when I'm not entirely sure what I'm getting myself into, what can I say? Before I go off and get sentimental and sh*t, well here I go anyway. It was awsome to meet everyone. Naz thanks for guiding me in Fri. and storing my crap, Salome ... were to start, you ****ing rock like block of jalapeno cheese (oh crap thats still in my bag), Teadoggg, thanks for the moustache and a rad party (even though I felt like **** and had no desire to drink until 11pm after all the f***ing beer was gone), Msngr your a Super Hero, North East coast reh-prah-sent., Super Rookie I can't wait to see the footage from Milwaukee, Fulton and Michigan; we were haulin' ass ... sucks you got the 3. Stickyfoot huge congrats on the 3 spot nice job buddy! Jrowe sweeeeet bag brothah'. FNB I hope your not damaged for life after Fri nights sleeping arrangments. Shants I will be quoting your foul ****ing mouth for months you are one funny MF. good to ride the last 2 CP's with you. I could go on on on on, Chicago I will see you soon. SF will be great next year Judah and Galen! ok I'm done.
