Nope. I'm not a messenger, I'm a lighting guy. My load-in days are long, stupid, and involve lots of walking around on icky concrete floors, sometimes while carrying big dumb heavy cables. I'll happily give up a bit of pedaling efficiency to keep my knees happy for the parts of the day that I don't spend on the bike.
I've been perfectly happy with clips and straps for the past 17 years, and don't really see a need to switch at this point - four of the bikes have clips and straps, and the two cruisers have platforms.
Enjoy your clipless pedals - I'm happy with what I've got.

I ride my bike every day, and almost everywhere I go, and I won't wear bike shoes every day or everywhere I go. I DO prefer clipless, that's why I switch pedals when I don't mind wearing the funny shoes.

I will second the mention that street shoes are cheaper. Right now, I'm wearing shoes that were $25. My bike has cheap plastic clips and straps that I got for like $5-$10 I think. The pedals were on a bike I found in the dumpster. So what, you think my bike's ugly? So I don't pedal as efficiently as you? Well, at least I don't have to worry about messing up a shoe and pedal system that's worth more than my whole bike.

Another option (totally unhip or hip as heck, i am confused and don't know anymore) are the very comfy Teva-like Clipless Shimano Sandals that Sheldon 'Bike God' Brown wears 24/7 during summer months (check his site). He is a comfort kindoff guy as well a serious cyclist so it might be a good compromise if your location isn't too cold or wet. I think they are pretty cheap too...
