Mirrored Velocity Deep V wheelset
Finally, Lynn has sent me a picture of a custom ordered wheelset he produced.
Blind your oponents away!
"Phil Wood Kiss-Off Single Speed disc hubs laced to Deep-V MTB with Sapim
Laser spokes. I have stock to provide polished rims in Deep-V 700C 32H &
36H, Deep-V MTB 36H, Fusion, and Aeroheads. These are not bright
anodised, they are true mirror polish aluminum."
I think Lynn said he spent a good 3 hours labour to achieve this result.

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.
Ooooh.... Sparkly!
I'm lucky that I don't have a bike that needs a wheelset like that anymore. And that I don't have those rims, because I'd have to build a bike around them

Is it really to blind the oponents, or an easier way of checking out your helmet hair after a ride?
How to finish that wheelset... With these rotors. https://gallery.mtbr.com/showphoto.ph...sort=1&cat=563
Kuddos on the workmanship.

Could you post the process to polish? I see a project in my future.

both of those sets look totally awesome. riding on those forces all onlookers to put on their sunglasses, which makes them even more awesome.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you do the home polishing method, won't the shine only last for little while because the aluminum oxidizes? Do you clearcoat or "clear-anodize" (if there is such a thing) after the polishing?

for those diy'ers
they did tell me that the silver finished ones have some type of finish applied to them and had to be stripped off prior to polishing, if you want to do it right.
ok enough already time to go get my wheels

Nice work! Now , if we could just do away with that pesky ridge of a braking surface.......................................I would love to see a set of polished deep v's with a graceful, rounded curve.
