i move that this thread be re-named "win dolface's money (or bikes)." and that he be enclosed in a soundproof, plexiglas box...

dolface 11-21-05 03:19 PM

i don't have any money (because of the bikes...)

nice find!

... and this is why you don't take pronunciation advice from unilingual Americans.

ImOnCrank 11-22-05 09:49 AM

hehe choch. Anybody know how to find and tell the date of a pinarello montello from it's serial number? I know this belongs in the road forum or something but i'm scared of those people.

If 7-11 is open 24/7/365, why do they have locks on their doors?

Why is braille on drive through ATM's?

it's for those times when you're too busy watching a DVD on the in-dash TV monitor and can't tear your eyes away. you can just stick your hand out and operate the ATM.

but we've already established that Amurcans are unilingual. Now if we could establish that most who drive AND watch DVDs at the same time are Amurcan, then your theory would be blown. Unless there are Amurcans who can see well enough to drive but developed Braille as their only language.

OK, show the solution in P time and space for just one NP-complete, instead.

Installing philwood BB's.

How critical is it to tighten the philwood BB to 50nm (newtonmeters)? If it is can i borrow someones (SF crew) torque wrench?

Zombie thread time.

Is it possible for a chainring to go out of round? Positioning the crank at 12 o'clock then 6 o'clock, I get about 1/2" difference in play, and I swear it wasn't there when I got the bike six months ago.

It's All-City's basic chainring, 612 Track.

Scrodzilla 07-02-13 06:01 PM

It's more possible that it's not centered.

Question: How durable are Nylon pedals compared to metal? In particular the Odyssey Twisted PC pedals? I'm wanting to get some BMX platforms and these were suggested to me. Normally I don't put much faith in anything but metal, especially when I'm putting my weight on it. I don't want to end up with some cheap Mongoose quality crap pedals.

Unless someone knows of a brand that sells orange metal BMX pedals. That would be cool. I'm having a hard time finding any.

I'm pretty sure these are overpriced for what they are, but they're orange. And I also happen to like the look of them.

Ouch. Yeah a bit pricey for my blood. I found some for 40ish from brick lane bikes. I am still curious about nylon though.

seau grateau 07-02-13 11:42 PM

I have plastic BMX platforms on my road bike for comfy commuting. Used to use them on a fixed bike until I had a few nasty pedal strikes. They're a little scuffed but still in one sturdy piece.

seau grateau 07-02-13 11:44 PM

I think these are the ones I have: http://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...&category=4352
