Can I had? If you have a picture of the design, or part of the design... bring it. That would help make the drawing process easier. I always suggest google's image search.

I have to laugh everytime I hear this go down
Client - "How much for a tattoo?" or "Can you draw me a tattoo?"
My buddy - "What do you want?"
Client - "I don't know"

i showed up about 20 minutes early once, i was excited, and there were 3 kids like ages 10-14 in the lobby, the 14 year old was smoking a cigarette, the other two were were running around, it was during the world cup so i was trying to watch soccer and ignore them, then the mom and daughter come out of the back, the artist told them how to care for it, the mom yelled at the kid for smoking, said "you're 14 for god's sake" ken who knew both my girlfriend and i told us "if you ever have kids do not bring them to a tattoo shop, i wanted to kill them it was so hard to concentrate

You're getting inked?! I always found talking with Dan Zaleski (i can get you his phone number) a good resource for such questions (not that I have any personal experience). Hell, even Blake has a tattoo or three. Let me know how it works out.

haha. we do that but its usually ok.. I got an Idea if you don't know what you want. How about an elephant riding a unicycle juggling eggs??

They usually get ticked off and say thats not what they want.

Then you just reply.. I thought you said you don't know what you wanted, why don't you just tell me what it is you want!!!

lol

since you seem like a rather knowledgable group i have a few questions:
1) How painful would a Tatoo on the bottom of the foot be compared to say ohhhh the arm?
2) what would be my downtime that i wouldnt be able to walk. Like a few days or more?
3) Whats a rough estimate of how much it would cost to get JAM vertically across the length of my foot in one solid color. My foot without toes is 10 1/2 inches long.( haha I just measured)

thanks in advance.

1) everyone takes pain differently then others. The bottom of the foot will fall out. Tattooing over an area like the bottom of the foot or the palm will have a hard time at staying. Id say dont do it unless you like going in for touch-ups every few months.
2) a day or so.
3) Every shop will give you a different price. ( experiance, area, ect... ) can all determine price. Personally, we wouldnt do it.

ok here is what i got for ya. first the bottom of the foot tattoos like crap! think about how rough the bottom is. the skin on the bottom of you foot is always dying and regrowing this tattoo will look like crap in a few years, even if its done well. if you still decide to get it you could walk on it as soon as you want, it just wont heal and will scab pretty bad wich will make it heal like crap. but if you want it bad enough you can suffer through. ive thought about getting some spd cleats tattoed on the bottom of my feet for awhile, but wont ever do it because in a few years they will just be two black blobs, and it will look like like i stepped in gum.

A few years ago I got a tattoo of a canned ham riding my track bike (Cinelli). I've since put on a lot of weight and it now looks like pop tart stuck on a chain link fence. Pretty nasty.

Well, so, my point is, if you get inked, don't put on a lot of weight or you'll look really nasty and so will your tattoo.
