Hey Judah, you can't go around posting cryptic rants especially when they involve the Zeitgeist. What happened? Did you get kicked out or did they just pour your flask out?

Got kicked out last night. We were sitting with some people having a pitcher, one of them wanted a drink from the flask and out of nowhere some dude grabs it, starts pouring it out, and is like "you guys are out of here". Colin had just bought a pitcher, and the guy tried to keep the flask, so we were pretty pissed about the whole thing.

you gotta understand where they are coming from though. Its like going out to a restaurant and bringing a steak from home for your potatoes and vegetable side order.

It sucks, but at the same time thats what you are there for, you are paying for the atomsphere.

f' em' dude, don't sweat it, if you're not getting kicked out of bars & clubs then you're not partying hard enough in the first place-

but pouring out alcohol is whack, i've never done that to prove a point, its lame-

dude,
that really sucks.

i understand what Ostro is saying. but where is the line drawn? they serve food at the zg, but have no problem with you bringing a burrito in (or buying tamales).

either way, i'll be hitting the zg today, if anyone wants to join! oh yeah, ride first.

It's not like we were there not buying drinks, we had bought two pitchers in like 20 minutes. Whatever, it's not a big deal, Jordan got the flask back.

F the zg and their attitude. I'll be doing my post-ride drinking somewhere else from now on.

When somebody physically grabs something out of your hands, and you're not both 8 years old. it's grounds for an ass-beating. Seriously. That's no way to act. I used to wait tables, and I've kicked plenty of people out, but I've never grabbed anyone's property.

Yeah dude, but the Zeitgeist is PUNKK!
They pride themselves in crappy service!
That is why people go there because it is supposed to be the gnarly baddass bar in town.
But, being punk these days ain't easy no mo'!
With attitude being the number one fashion accessory right now you must up the ante to even be noticed - for example by grabbing a flask or spitting in customers faces. Got to get that respect somehow right? Keeping it real is hard work!

i've been in that situation more times than i will ever be able to fully remember, be it flask/bottle or outside beer or wine, never have kicked out someone 21+ for drinking, in a bar, that just seems stupid to me, since in most cases i can remember the guilty people generally feel so bad being busted they order up another round for the table and usually end up tipping at the end of the night for my being so understanding...

its just a job, and that job should be to ensure everyone there has a good time, not to try and be some big tough guy, but so many in the industry seem to forget that- same guy probably had his milk money taken from him back in the day, and now he's all grown up and working at some little dinky hole in the wall bar is getting his payback as often as he can-

i've seen this time and time again working in bars/clubs/music venues as long as i have they're usually gutless punks, people with real skills don't have to flex them in that manner.

i love zg, i never have any problem with the service, and i'm certainly not badass.

but, this has nothing to do with bringing in outside alcohol.

When I said they pride themselves in crappy service I was thinking of their "pick one" t-shirts.

Anyone up for a quick pre-turkey ride? Say 12.30 at rollerskaterspot in GGP?
