I did edit the post, nonetheless, ass hole. ;) At this point, I'm not sure what exactly you meant to convey. Maybe you meant that it's generally regarded that "be" cannot properly be used as a present indicative verb without an auxiliary, e.g. "I be sick"? If so, the general public is right to think so, for the most part. I can think of one exception, though: the subjunctive mood ("if that be the case," "that every man be armed," etc.). Or were you talking about something else? |
Is there an accepted bikeforums.net convention for the serial comma? I don't want to run afoul of the usage police when posting this, that and the other.

reminds me of strongbad singing: "ooooooh, if you want to be posessive, it's just I T S, but if it's supposed to be a contraction then it's I T apostrophe S... scallawag!"

I may (or might) be wrong, but I think you have a subject/verb agreement issue here. Elementary school rocks. |
"any" can be used with either a singular or plural verb, dickface. here i am saying "if any [one] of you mongoloids." "of you mongoloids" is simply a partitive genitive expression and doesn't govern the number of the verb. grr. go back to school, fu<ktard.

capitalization is simply a matter of formatting and, originally, emphasis. my knowledge of the language isn't predicated on whether or not i capitalize. however, knowing the difference between a contraction and a possessive is pretty damn important.
|
okay, i'm no longer in a bad mood this morning. i can feel my fingers again. all is well.

People who don't know the rules governing phrasal adverb hyphenation are almost as repugnant as people who think it's OK to throw around the term "mongoloid" as an epithet in mixed company.
