Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Sugino BB

I just ordered some Sugino 75's and I was wondering if there was much difference in the regular BB vs. the "Superlap" polished one. Is it worth the extra $30? I wanted to get some feedback before I bought one. I'm new at this - any help is appreciated.

super polished = "less friction" on the races.

Are your track times really in need of a faster race? I go with the standard 75 BB as I am not really sure the extra $30 will help me that much

Sounds like it's not really worth it as I've never even seen a track, much less ridden on one. I'll put the extra $30 to good use I'm sure...

I've had both, the superlap feels a tiny bit smoother.
Is it worth $30? I don't know, mine came with the bike so I didn't have to make the choice...

i just ordered a sugino 75 spindle and i'm going to use other cups. $30 bucks is a lot cheaper than buying the whole bottom bracket and should work just as well.
