Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I thought that what made the shocker the shocker was the pinky. Pinky's down bud. Doesn't that mean its not it's not the shocker, but rather common practice?

it's a modified or "baroque" shocker. the pinky is bent for that little somethin' "extra". believe me, it's the shocker, albeit a variant form.

Alright. I'll buy it. I can't see the pinky at all, truth be told. But I see where you're coming from. So now i want to hear what the name of the shocker gang is...

Is this the guy (sorry I didn't click the right button, but the guy on the bike pontoon thing) that is riding/boating down the Ohio river to the Mississippi? I saw the article the other day on WIRED, but can't find it to link to it. Seems this guy built this 16 foot bike/boat, and told people he built it to boat/bike down the Mississippi, well, his joke was taken serious, like cub scouts, and peeps like that got interested, even got some funding for this trip. It's going to be some National Geo/Green Peace explore the watershed bike/boat ride.

It is indeed Lucas Brunelle on the Charles. I wish I could have one of these things. I dream about biking around the world. The hard way!
