What's up with houseoftrack.com?
Does anyone know what's the deal with house of track? They don't post a physical address, but say they are located in Vegas. I am trying to found out their international shipping rates, I live in Canada, and they don't seem to be answering their phone and there is no message service. I've read elsewhere they have gone through some troubles, been late to answer emails, etc.
Does anyone have the low down?
Cheers!

no worries - glad you piped up in here! I think most people would agree here with my sentiments: at one time, HouseOfTrack might have been worthwhile. Now, it is all about disrepair and shoddy, lack-luster service - or so the winds tell us.

Don't order from Neal. I've been waiting a month now for my stuff and nothing has happened. He has been telling me every week that "next week I'll send your stuff". My patience is over now and I have a lot of patience. Paypal is probably going to hear from me so that I'll get my money back.

If you've waited a reasonable amount of time and recieved nothing, I think PayPal will help you out.
I've only done it with auction goods, but I think they'll protect you. It might take awhile for 'em to review the situation.

That was the last time i make an online purchase without searching these forums for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions first. My retro-active search has come up with alot of dirt on these sheisty cats...**** am i ever pissed!!!
I can't stand crap business practices, especially when the business owner whines and asks for sympathy and patience from those they've ****ed over. I have a long background in the skateboarding scene, and have heard plenty of excuses, pleas for forgivness, etc from people who claim to be supporting the "scene" and the little guy. They act all stepped upon by the industry at large (in this case EAI I suppose...)
and are very prone to "meltdowns" and schizoid behaviour. Lesson learned.

...finally got a hold of them on the phone. I spoke to Patti? Neal was nowhere to be found. Anyway, she told me Neal had multiple paypal addresses (!!??) and the one I sent the loot to was listed incorrectly on the sight so he wanted to refund me, yadda yadda, blah, blah blah. Patti claimed to know nothing about paypal so was unable to help me. In the end my frustration got the best of me...it turned out what I wanted was not even in stock and like hell I was going to wait for this specific part and wait for them to contact me...the whole deal was beyond sketchy (Their whole attitude may be considered refreshing for it's casualness, but when dropping serious dough, serious for me, I want to be dealt with in a serious and business-like manner) so I just told her NOT to claim the money I sent, leave it alone, don't send me anything and that I was going to deal with someone else. Thank you and goodnight!
I mean, I am sure they are great people, they just don't instill alot of confidence in the money and product handling department.
** oh yeah, there was a dog barking alot in the background and i got this wierd mental image of tumbleweeds blowing around (probabley from the dead air on the phone) and empty shelves covered with dust and a sping loaded screen door slapping back and forth...
