Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I find it rewarding that HyperReview was b!tching about my incoherent post, which caused habitus to moan, thus illuminating boots, the tobacco rolling messenger who wrote a (self-fulfilling) phrophetic title to this thread!

Tecate is good, i drink it but i prolly spelled it wrong. Sleep is good, but damned if i get enough of it. Working 2nd shift makes ted a dull boy and prone to spells of insomnia and all night cursing. Like when you turn the lights off then start yelling, damnit, i can't sleep!

I understand boots, but it does sound as if he's tweaking or something.

Another gallon of coffee and some dove chocolate and i might hit that wavelength.

but it wasn't incorrect. pay attention: a past-tense clause about "l[ying] awake," followed by a present participle clause about "dying on the inside" is acceptable. it's stating what happened in the past ("lay awake") with a present metaphysical state ("dying on the inside").
"I fell asleep, yet I'm still dying on the inside" makes sense.
"I fall asleep, yet I'm still dying on the inside" does, too.
You are very talented at spinning, my friend. I don't think anybody's buying it, but I must compliment your work.

thanks!

but you compliment that i am talented at spinning presupposes that i am in fact spinning something, a stable, objective idea that exists in some state sans spinning. however, what if this notion is a chimera? what if all that exists behind the "spinning" is more spinning, which, in fact, would be all that was real? there is no ground on which i stand. sorry.

geez. jedi_steve is right.
