edit: here's the new flyer:

Alright, here's the deal:
We're going to meet at 3 PM at the usual place in Wicker Park (by the playground equipment). Spokecard buy-in will be $5, and you'll be dealt a playing card. We'll ride around the city to four bars (TBA), at each of which you'll be dealt another card, have a beer, and socialize with your fellow riders. After the fifth card's been dealt to everyone, whosoever has the highest hand wins! In the event of a tie, we'll have a high-card draw.
Your cards will be marked with your number...no swapping. All proceeds will be split evenly between
The Big Fix and the Bicycle Messenger Emergency Fund.
Obviously, it's more of a social ride than a race...an opportunity to be cool to everyone before you try to obliterate them on the Tour Da Chicago.
I'm in the process of securing prizes. Brent at Phil Wood has already hooked us up, I've waiting to hear from some others (if any of our resident framebuilders/industry folk want to toss anything in, it'd be greatly appreciated---send me a PM). Depending on what all we collect, there may be prizes for categories (TBD) other than highest hand, but don't count on it. Do it for the comradery, the fun, the beer, and the spokecard! (You know you need more.)
Here's my question to you: I'm torn between Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2, and I want to know which people would prefer...everyone's got stuff going on (I know monkey, 0.00 are already going to ride on Monday, for instance), and I want as many people as possible to be able to make it. This isn't a BF-only thing, nor a FGSS-only thing, but you know I wanna see you guys. Aww...

Update: Prizes from Yojimbo's have been confirmed.
Monday's got the early lead...but it's close. I'm really hoping for a blowout, that'll make this a lot easier...

In true Chicago fashion: vote early, vote often!
Monkey & SR for Monday...so who are the people who voted for Sunday, then?
A final decision will me made on or around Sunday afternoon, so I can get flyers out.
