Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Big Bike for Big Fan: video (02:42)

Mar. 29 - German man gears up for the World Cup with a giant football bike.

Didi Senft is prepared to go to great lengths to create a good atmosphere for the fans at the World Cup.

He has built a 7.8 metre World Cup bicycle, which he claims is the biggest bike in the world.

The bike is made of over 100 metres of aluminium sheet and 100 footballs which form the wheels - and the World Cup element.

Didi has incorporated 80 original bicycle wheel rims into the wheels, they serve as baskets to stop the balls falling out.

That was the UK Eurovision contentant for 2006...

The Finnish Lordi won... HardRock Hallelujah!
https://lorditmp.sitefactory.fi/video.htm

More of the winning. hehe.
https://www.eurovision.tv/english/index.htm

Background: Eurovision is a 50+ year old European Song Contest of lame love ballads and pop songs (see the UK video above). This year Finland sent Lordi to shook the house and won..

Lordi is a monster-project of guys and a lady for Fun from Lapland Finland - Members of Kiss Army and the music is good old 80's hard rock.

oh, i've been looking for some lordi. looks pretty humorous as well...

that one just seemed ridiculous cuz...a guy who looks to be in his early 30s, very clean cut, rapping with a bunch of schoolgirls about how teachers don't know crap....a little ridiculous.
