Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Considering the gearing those guys are running the trackstanding on that kind of banking is pretty nuts too.

Its not the speed thats nuts, I can take my trackie to near that. Its the acceleration with the gear ratio that blows my mind!

When they finally start sprinting, the way the guy with the rear disc carves up and back down that banking is absolutely insane--like dropping into some kind of track bike half-pipe...

They always pick the worse music for that stuff. Yeah it's amazing and all that but the poor taste in music takes a lot away from the extreme bike involvement attraction. I mean come on, it reminds me of the music from Donnie Darko when Patrick Swayze's video is playing.
