Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

19, a year and a half to go and my wallet will start lightening at another place other than the bike shop. Well, some 20 other places. Gotta love college towns with 20 some bars in a 2 block radius

Amazing what you can get done when you're not drinking, isn't it?

I've been going to college long enough to have gotten a phd, but I'm only getting a bachelors. now that's depressing.

Bikes: 1980 Univega; 1985 Ross; 1994 Trek 1400 -- all road bikes

I will be 68 in June, and I have never felt better. I was born in 1938, and I can vividly remember how upset my parents were when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. In 2005, I rode 1,756 miles. My resting heart rate is 42, and I weigh 180, the same as I did in high school. I owe a lot to cycling!
