Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I know it wasn't this week, but I liked the thread where Joe Gardner threatened to shut down the FG/SS forum unless we cleaned up our act.

This poll is crap.

i had no idea about that. i've had to spend the past few days rendering stuff and have had too much time sitting and watching a beachball spin around on my screen. i'm guilty of reckless boredom.

i'm also incredibly guilty of violating a lot of those guidelines.

it's funny though. irreverance and creativity are a huge part of FF/SG culture. looking back at a lot of threads on the front page, the off-topic stuff and silliness is pretty well contained in a couple of specific threads. it dips into others, but it doesn't drive them.

if people are looking for straight answers, isn't that what the search function is for?

if people are looking for community that's what poking around is for. community takes all types if you don't want to end up with a mausoleum.
