cross leg track stands
hey people, i am fairly new to the fixie/track/single world. i have been riding a fixie (converted centurion) for six months, and i am starting to learn new tricks. i can do all sorts of skids(still working on the ballerina), skip, and tack stand. tonight i just figured out how to do cross leg track stands(legs through the frame), and i was wondering if anyone else can do this, and if so, what other stupid pointless things do they know how to do? switch foot skids? cause i almost broke my shin trying to do that. anyways, just trying to see what other people are doing on these things, and if anyone is in boulder, and wants to ride, let me know.

I bought a Bianchi Pista, but it had no brakes and it would not stop pedaling. After pointing it out to the LBS they allowed me to exchange it for a beach cruiser with one of those surfboard things on the toptube, so I have been trying to learn how, that would be cool.

Yeah, I heard The Game rides one, that is why I got mine.

i learned a cool trick the other day. You need to be riding already for about 15-20 minutes to get the blood flowing first. At that point, you get down and start cranking and pushing as hard as you can. Keep going, and going, and going. Eventually you'll get soo tired you can't do it anymore, but keep pushing. When its unbearable, calm down a little bit, catch your breath and do it all over again until you're soo tired you wanna fall over, turn around and go home. Its a great trick and really fun to do as well. :-D

I can get the foot through the frame skid but still haven't tried the x-foot skid yet. Thinking about putting my body in that position while maintaining my balance sounds like a recipe for hilarity and disaster simultaneously. I guess you'd have to have a pretty small frame to give your knees the freedom of motion they'd need though no?

riding a fixie really fast for a long time wasn't hard enough on my knees.
so i am trying to figure out how to seriously damage my knees in the shortest amount of time.
hopefully by doing something that looks very awkward and stupid.
that sounds like a great idea.

well... i'm in boulder too. It seems that there's a few of us. We should put together a bar ride or something. Or just ride in general.
