I must be mixed up, this can't be it.

I was going to ask a question this weekend about dishing a flipflop wheelset I built but didn't want to disrupt the pizza.pistaboy.spokecard.pie.bling... discussions. Can there be a lounge created for the lifestyle gabbers? I would much appreciate it.

you should've just asked it. amazingly enough, unless the question is another "what bag should I buy" jammie, you'll get a lot of good answers from smart people . Don't be shy, only MLProject and shants bite, and we bought them rabies shots about two months ago.

As for being a newb, try not to be so critical of some of the threads, it's all in good fun.

Did you measure the chainline with a caliper? The crank/chainring actually looks too far in (although it could be my astigmatism).

doesn't look too awfully off regardless.. i think mine is just a tad better than that and i have had no problems. i am running a road crank though. on a track wheel you have no dish because there is no cassette to account for.

You are right, its not a perfect line. I'm not to worked up about it though because I just slaped the wheels under that frame with a road crankset as a test bed to see how they roll. I'm going to be ordering a track frame [not sure which still] and a Sugino 75 crankset and then I'll try to split hairs with the chainline.

Try moving the chain ring to the outside or get a slightly longer BB.

The best way to ask a question is to start out with attitude and then not ask it. Good work. Read an instruction manual if you don't want to talk to people. That said, your problems can be resolved with a truing stand and a dishing tool.

Your chainline looks fine. Nice hub, btw.

you should get some clips and straps.

Take a pic from the top.

Due to perspectives, they can fool the eye alot.

I see only one view and cannot asset anything from that view.

If you look too hard something it will be off.

What is the rear spacing?

What is th spacing on the hub?

What is the BB Spindle length?

What kind of Crank?

See if you ask the question , you will recieve more questions.

Give the answers to the above and we an see what we can do.

I encourage you all to take this test. When I graduate from BikeForums, I want to be an astronaut. First fixed gear in space, as research against the onset of atrophied muscle tissue in a zero-g environment.

french bottom brackets are awesome. **** those who say otherwise (this is not directed at you serendipper). stop whining and do some basic research and part searching.

i cannot speak for everyone, but for those of us who routinely offer sound technical assistance and advice to people on this forum while not having to ask many questions ourselves (believe it or not, i don't only talk ****), i can say that i don't really like catching a bunch of ****ing flack for jabbering about random and totally inane **** when i am in the mood to do so.

i like to help people out when they ask educated and marginally intelligent questions, but also like having a place to prattle with other people who are into bikes. i like to think that most people here who post in the "dumber" threads do enough service in the "i need help with bike ****" threads to justify it.
