Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: I have more bikes than fingers. So I can't count em

I think we can drink to that.

Bikes: '85 Full Cycle Cycle.

I learned to trackstand fairly easily but I could never do it no-handed. I bought a unicycle and didn't ride the fix much for a few weeks. When I tried again, it was a piece of cake. After a half hour, I was sitting comfortably with my foot on the wheel. So go buy a uni: your inner ear will love the workout.

OK, your post inspired me to get back out and try the no-hander again. After 30 years of riding bikes, I finally got the no-handed trackstand today. Only 14 seconds, but I'm still pretty psyched.

Next up, reverse circles...
