A .2mm shim does not exist. I'm not cutting up a beer can and using it as a shim on a track bike that worth almost $2,000. Not that you were suggesting that, but some will. That's a rigged up solution that eventually fails.

I can hear myself now, "Yeah, it's a handmade italian frame custom for a former Olympian and world record holder. It's got campy C-Record this, Supurbe Pro hubs, and...oh that? That's a beer can shim."

I hear you.

a regarded bike shop owner/wrench in my town did fabricate a decent shim for the same 27.0 to 27.2 situation for a friend of mine. it is mechanically sound and it is inconspicuous.

I understand the need for a build to be *just right*, though.

I would very much like to use the seatpost that I have. That's why I bought it. But, at the time I didn't know that 27.0 posts even existed. I just assumed (my fault) that the seller meant 27.2.

I've heard of shims slipping on folks. I'm a big dude, so I'm sure it would slip on me. And yeah, almost right aint' just right

good thing you'd only need a .1mm shim, since if you wrap it around the seatpost once, it will add .2mm to the diameter.

but i hear you.

have you ever read "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance"?

there's a good little bit on shims.

need a front brake caliper 49-39mm reach. Prefer older shimano 105 or 600, I'll take the pair if you don't want to split them. I could also use a set of sylvan road pedals too.

Have forte cross levers (31.8/26mm clamp), 1/8 15t eai cog, rear tektro 520a caliper

for: a new pair of kashimax doubles. as i mentioned on another forum, i want to change pedals and don't want to rip this pair up by pulling them out.

i'm also looking for:
a short (70-80mm) thomson stem in 31.8
a flite, prolink, or similar saddle with a male cutout
a 28h front bolt-on hub (or trade you my NOS 28h cxp12 for a 32h cxp12, 14, or 30)

i have bike parts, and other things.
as well as a short 26.0 thomson.

Hey heres the deal. Im trying to buy a new frame and i need money, so im selling an almost complete quality track frame here.

What it comes with:
-Bikeisland Kilo tt frame in white, 53cm
-Black Kilo fork
-Aheadset 1 inch black threadless headset
-60mm Profile design black threadless stem
-Drop Bars
-2 26.8 seatposts, one kaloy and one Easton, both black
-A black saddle
-Back black Alex r450 wheel laced to black formula, black spokes, 16t Miche cog (have other sizes to pick from too) With tube & tire
-Sugino Messenger Crankset 165 in black with sugino messenger 103 bottom bracket
-Sram chain
-Pedals, Soma double cages, Soma Double straps
-Seatpost clamp, Black interlock seatpost clamp

Has stickers on it which could be taken off.

Heres a picture of it now

It DOES NOT include a front wheel. DOES NOT come with the saddle, bars,or pedals in the picture but other ones will be provided.

So if you buy this bike all you need is a front wheel and you will be rolling!'

Throw me some offers, only things im looking for are sugino 75 in silver
