Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Minnesota Swap Meet

Just trying to spur up some interest, check it out, my restaurant is going to be doing all the food. Send me a message if you want the original PDF file of the application. I posted this in General Cycling as well, but considering how the proceeds are going towards the velodrome, makes sense to post here as well. Sorry if someone beat me too it, I searched and couldn't find a thread started anywhere.

Calling all Bike Geeks!
On February 26th, at the St. Paul Academy School Gym, from 9:30 to 2:30, Birchwood Cafe and the National Sports Center Velodrome are pairing up to sponsor this year’s Twin Cities Cycling Community Annual Swap Meet. Whether you’re buying or selling, you won’t want to miss this event where a mere $5 dollar entry fee brings Christmas in February for all bike geeks. Bring the whole family and shop till your heart’s content. Wheels, frames, tubes, accessories, and small shiny chrome things will all be for sale. Or perhaps you’re looking to rid your basement of wheels, frames, tubes, accessories and small shiny chrome things. Now’s your chance to cash it all in (and buy more bike stuff!) Tables to sell are $30 and the price includes admission for 2, so really it’s like $20 a table. Or as an alternative, for $5 a bike you can saddle up to our bike corral and sell your steed there. Did I mention Birchwood baked goods, Peace Coffee and door prizes? Proceeds support the National Sports Center Velodrome. See www.mcf.net for more info or directions to the swap. See ya there!

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.

Bump!

I'll have to see if I can make this one. I don't need anything... yet. I'm sure that will probably change when I walk in the door

Although I might just make you help out working the "food booth" if nothing else it would keep you out of trouble, and keep your wallet fat.

You know better than that - nobody wants to eat my cooking. Not even me.

Why couldn't this be the following weekend.
Back-to-back trips to Minnesota are not what I look forward to.

Yeah, I'll be there. Last time I scored a Flite Ti saddle for $1.
