Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

septuplet tricycle

i'm pretty sure its single speed, so i'm posting about it here.

its some ridiculous contraption i've seen a few times. 7 people sit around in a circle frame, all with a set of pedals, and i dont really know what its for, besides people with too much money (costs 19 grand) and 6 friends

anyway, whenever i see it they're riding down a sidewalk in chicago, is that legal? should they be in the street? its probably atleast the width of a car.

i have so many questions, but its 3:30 am, so this is the best i can do

I've seen one of those on 42nd st. betw. 7th and 8th...riding in the street...although there were only like 2 people riding it, with the rest of the seats open

Check out the link in your pic and you'll find your answer. I was in The Big Apple about a year ago, and we rented one of these for an hour and rode around Times Square - it was GREAT FUN, and is definitely THE WAY to see New York City!

the fact that these are marketed as corporate team-builders makes them infinitely funnier/more depressing.
