Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Ever get the itch?

I have it right now. That itch you get when you're watching somehing on ebay that you never thought you'd
find... but you did. You can't believe how cheap it is and how there are barely any bids, you want to bid but you don't, you're just hoping that someone hasn't got some ultra high bid set. 24 hrs or less and you feel like you're cheaitng on a test.

Come on ebay, come through for me!

Hahaha!! There's the feeling! It's a rush! Made me almost run home from work yesterday since I knew an auction like it was about to end. I actually won the item, really, really cheap and now I'm suspicious that something's wrong, looking into stuff like a mad man.

Then you're heart sinks when you see a 3rd or 4th bid when you wake up the next morning. You start debating wiht yourself about how much you're really willing to spend.

Bah!

For serious. Ask me sometime about what happened to my $16 alloy Cinelli track stem. Boo!

i'm with you guys totally, but I was lucky. My single "on a whim" bid came through and I'm about 2 weeks from having it completely built. Bareknuckle frame and fork in my size and everything for. . . . .$300. I was almost sure that it wasn't actually going to come to my house but it did.
