if i feel up to it, i'll show up for the pretzel ride, if i can con some of the kids from tonight to go down with me. we'll see what happens. pretzels are good.

I've never been carded at the state stores in Philly... ever. I get carded everywhere else, though.


I was under the impression that the pretzel factory didn't start producing until midnight, and it doesn't take an hour to get from the art museum to the factory.


Speaking of scary West Philly stories and state stores...

A friend of mine was recently accosted in front of the state store around 40th and Market by a bum. The bum was screaming at him, calling him a "White Devil" and threatening to kill him. What's the Word?! THUNDERBIRD!

I also met a guy that was stabbed in the back with a screw driver on the Market Frankfurt line. He had to crawl out of the car at the next stop, which was luckily 34th street (close to Penn school of medicine). Nobody would help him, so he had to admit himself. Brotherly Love!

Anyone hear about the attack on a graduate student at 36th and Spring Garden last Friday? Apparently some HS kids randomly attacked him and taped it. F'n A, less then a block from my house.

In another thread I listed reasons I love Philly. Stories like this are things I won't miss when I move.

do you remember the boxing glove gang in south philly around like... 5th and washington i think?

knocked some dude off his bike and started just whoopin on him with boxing gloves, then took the gloves off and stabbed him when he tryed to fight back.

so I'm getting my coat on to go to this ride and I hear the loudest thunder ever. It's raining and sleeting like mofo out there all of a sudden. Storm of the century outside... It was nice until about 20 seconds ago! what gives??

Yeah.. HOLY CRAP.. I was at the bike church PUTTING ON A FENDER and about to go when I heard that ***** that was insane.

I was like 15 mintues from home when it started and my bike isnt rain friendly. It was crazy, like rain-ice and lightning..

IT seemed like it was rain, till about an inch from my eyeball it turns into HAIL and then pounds its way home. I had to look up to see what was ahead, then back down for a few seconds so I wouldnt get a layer of ice over my retinas.
