Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

hula hooping

I was at a bar/dance type place last night when a video with some hula hoops popped up on one of the tvs. I then told my two friends that I'm secretly a pretty darn good hula hooper. We decided that hula hooping riding a bike would be one of the best things ever.

Is this possible? Have you ever hula hooped while riding? Have you seen anyone do this? Maybe at the circus?

It would be all the better on a fixie. You'd have to keep your legs and hips moving at the same time.

the hula bike rocks my world! it seems like the same idea as when i take one foot of my pedals and try to keep the bike going by shifting my weight on the single pedal up and down as the pedals go around. i wonder how fast you could get going on that thing?
