Man, as great as the IRO frame and wheels are, the Angus' parts have been a source of constant frustration to me. The bike is loud! When I am riding around, everytime I get the bottom of my pedal stroke I get a squeak. I have no clue what it is from. It happens when I am standing; it happens when I am sitting. The seat and seatpost are crap, and I thought that perhaps these parts were causing problems. I took them off and rode around, and the squeaking was still there. Man! I want to love my Angus but the parts make me wish I just bought the frame and fork.

The chain is slack. I will check the chainring bolts later. Mine was noisy right out of the box. Tony said to ride it around for a few miles and the noise will go away. Hasn't happened yet.

BTW, I did search the forums. Thanks for the reminder.

On your call I thought you were talking about chain noise. If you are getting noise from your bottom bracket area check the bottom bracket and crankarms for tighness.

If you are getting sound when you flex the bars check the quill and handlebars.

Are you using cleats with clipless pedals? I had a similiar sound and tightened my cleats. It worked for a ride then came back. I then tried the blue locktite and so far it has silenced the creak for one ride. I'll know tomorrow if the locktite is the solution or if I have to try something more permanent.

how old is the BB? and does it see a lot of rain? If it doesn't need an overhaul maybe you should take it out and regrease the threads etc. that fixed my squeaks last time.

I hear a squeaking noise every once in awhile. At first I thought it was coming from my bike, but I soon realized that it was coming from my chain lock. I lock it around my waist and keep the lock on my right hip. Sometimes if it is more towards the front of my hip than the side it will move whenever I pedal, and the links rubbing against each other makes a squeaking sound.

It sounds like something totally different is causing the squeaking for you, but I just thought I should mention it.

The BB is brand new. The pedals are clipless, but I still get noise even in regular shoes. I will swap the pedals and see if that is the problem. I will check the crank. I have ridden the bike in the rain a grand total of 2 times. I will check the bolts and all. I need the chainring tool though, I tried tightening them and quickly realized that I needed the tool (although two of them were somewhat loose). I will also check the tightness of the crank and BB. The chain is also making some noise, but then again, whose chain doesn't make some noise... Anyway I will figure it out, it will be fun.

Loose screw could be the issue.

ive gotten squeaks from my pant leg hitting the back wheel. just throwin it out there.

brooks saddle does that squeezy sound too...

Its really more like a creaking sound. Every time I really torque the cranks, during trackstands, stopping and starting; its really bad when I reverse the direction I am applying force. Just a creak sound and a tube resonating that creak. I just really hear it then, and at the bottom of the pedal stroke.

I checked out the pedals and cranks. I tightened the cranks, but they seemed really tight already. I changed out my pedals, but nothing changed.
