Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

funner than backward circles

riding backwards in random patterns...straight...figure eight...oblong irregular circles...triangles... wavy blobs...

too much fun...especially with headphones on in a big parking lot, and treez...

who feels me?

if he was a welder it would make it so much better.

this post reminded me of that movie with kevin bacon where he's a ballet dancer or something and teaches everybody in this town how to dance where it's banned.

I like riding with both your body backwards AND the bike backwards. Most people say it just looks like I'm riding the right way, but my bicycle skillz are just over their head.

While I haven't managed to do any full backward circles I have once done a three point turn (think a car trying to turn around in a tight space) successfully on a sidewalk too narrow to turn around normally on. It was a lot of fun.
