Game over

In the quest for the best bike porn this one wins hands-down... how could you hope to do better? The frame is perfect (it's even large... maybe a 60 or 62?), the paint is perfect, the component spec is perfect... damn.

To each his or her own. I'm sure the owner loves it, and that's the important thing.

The valves aren't even close to being centered on the tire logos, not to mention the tires are mismatched and the rear is a Schwalbe? PINK PHILS and deep dish rims on a Nagasawa? Effing criminal! It looks fast, but it's quite a little frankenstein.

The pink Phils match the pantographing and the fill in the lug cut-outs, which, in turn, don't really match the decals. But again, I'm sure whoever bought it loves it.

If the owner ever got tired of it, s/he could make some serious bank on the bay and buy a couple excellent customs..

What mcatano said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If you like what you ride then ride some more

Duh, but you could probably get two custom framesets in high quality tubing for the total package price of that Nagasawa... $2,500 for the framset, $500 for the hubs alone, etc.

That person could, but that's not the point. If you want a Nagasawa, you'll have to pay the price for it. As much as aesthetics is up to each individual, so is value. Judging by the fact that he had Nagasawa do a custom for him and then got Joe Bell paint it for him, well, money or value isn't an object here. He obviously values the bike.

To each their own, as always.

Pretty insane if s/he owns both of those bikes...

My ebay suggestion was merely going along with the thoughts of most posters in this thread, that the bike is surely not up the aesthetic standards and s/he should "try again"! I was essentially kidding when I talked about the tires and hubs; I'd ride the sh*t out of that thing.

custom nagasawa doesn't cost $2500, not even close. you can fly to Japan and buy a custom nagasawa with that money.
