Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I'm riding the Fire Breathing Horse aka brean's bike. I have no ******** idea what it looks like.

You all know what I look like. Or more importantly what my ass looks like since that's all you'll be seeing during the race since I'll be kicking yours. Unless I get lost. Then all bets are off.

fire breathing horse is well know around here... should bring your own seat unless you like riding on a piece of plastic. The bike is beat up...looks like as it should, a working messenger's bike, but should still ride fine... I guess...

foodswings sounds awesome! thanks for the hookup man. can't wait to have a faux philly cheesesteak and milkshake.
looking that place up i read:
"Addictively delicious vegan fast food - I must've eaten there almost ten times since finding out about it one month ago. The food is just so good that I often sit in class going through their menu and planning what to eat there later that night. The atmosphere is welcoming and very laid-back. I strongly recommend their Pu-Pu Platter, the Faux Philly Cheesesteak, and the all the milkshakes are just delicious."
"This restaurant is 100% vegan. It is very community-minded and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious and pretty cheap as well. The food is mostly comfort foods like chicken cutlet sandwiches, buffalo wings, veggie burgers, vegan mac ncheese, etc. They are even open late on Friday and Saturday nights for midnight munchies and they have a set Sunday brunch meal. Located right by the L and M trains, awesome location. Monday - Thursday: 12p-11p, Friday & Saturday: 12p-2a, Sunday: 10a-11p. Midnight munchies: Friday and Saturday nights 11pm-2am."

Maybe we should plan a pre/during/post party foodswings run. I could use a vegan heart attack and a milk shake.

no its just wangster, he threatened to castrate people who show up on road bikes, even if they just want to work a checkpoint or photograph.

I hate all peoples... Spud got it wrong though, I'll only castrate people that want to ride the race on a road bike or ss... checkpoint and photogs need not apply.

rdny71, I've been to -2 monstertracks...this is the first for me and I think most'll agree that it should be done on a fixie/track sans brakes.

What time's Capone's tomorrow? Any pre/post parties? S_9?

Oh yeah... and I was being sarcastic before so if any vegans are offended, they can go see DC about that steak.

My philosophy - if it tastes good and falls within your dietary restrictions, eat it. Who gives a f**k what it is or is not trying to be?
