Nah they're usually far better maintained than the streets in NY. That being said if you're on the south bank by the river you can find yourself spending an awful lot of time on the cobbles. That sucks.

PLeeeease ride a beater....

jrowe 02-10-06 02:00 PM

My major taylor is my beater. I've crashed it so many times it's got to be on the verge of shattering into a million pieces.

Edit: To the OP: awesome thread.

adamkell 02-10-06 02:01 PM

I'd ride aluminum in the snow.

I'm glad we're all having fun. Did anyone else get the delicious double-, no triple-entendre of the thread title? Show your Roll = sounds like Slow your Roll = show your roll of film vs. rolling on bikes? I LOVE IT.

adamkell 02-10-06 02:38 PM

those kind of things are better if you don't (have to) explain them. ;)

useless127 02-10-06 02:38 PM

listening to Journey and looking at all these photos REALLY REALLY REALLY makes me wanna go ride my bike. just that feeling of freedom i guess. wow that sounds really cheezy.
