cracked forum hub nut. help. please.

I noticed that the outermost nut of the three on the inside of the fork end on the axle has cracked in half on my IRO formula hubs. What is this part called and where can I get a replacement?

hub locknut.

I'm not sure if they are standardized, but your LBS should stock them.

if that is indeed what cracked, there shouldn't have a problem replacing them at a bike shop. bring the busted pieces along for comparison. The same thing happened to my IRO hub recently. Stole a locknut off another wheel and all is good.

I'm going to guess a Freudian slip from "formula".
